Betsy Bragg is the designer, teacher and author of Eat to Thrive: 10-Weeks to Lifelong Healthy Habits and Healthy Living,  Real Kids Real Food Kids-Tested Recipes and Real Kids Real Food Lesson Plans.  Betsy is the former executive director of Optimum Health Solution from 2008 to 2018. She has a diverse background, including 45 years as a classroom teacher (kindergarten through college) and serving as the Director of Middlesex County Employment and Training Program for Refugees and Immigrants. She was a principal of Lindsley Planning Associates contracting with the United Nations, USAID and Central American Bank in the West Indies, the Philippines, Japan, and El Salvador.

Betsy is a Certified Hippocrates Health Educator and Recipient of the 2014 Humanitarian Service Award of Hippocrates Health Institute.

Her varied experiences as an educator, counselor, chef, and computer consultant have combined to prepare her for her chosen role as Director of Eat to, dedicated to preventing obesity, chronic disease, and malnutrition, especially in children through education and advocacy of healthy living. 

Betsy’s education includes a bachelor’s degree from Smith College in history and English, a master’s in counseling and education from Stanford University and Harvard University, a master’s in education from Boston University in the administration of multi-cultural non-profit organizations, and certification as a Hippocrates Health Educator.
